Undoubtedly one of the greatest and unforgettable names in the wrestling world, William Scott Goldberg is known to have an impactful career in WWE. He is remembered for his tenure at World Championship Wrestling as well. After a massive success in All Japan Pro Wrestling in the earlier part of 2000s, he made his career breakthrough with WWE in 2003, where he ruled the wrestling circuits for almost two decades.
But did you know that this WWE Hall of Famer had in fact started his athletic career as a footballer? That’s right, this wrestling legend had indeed earned a college scholarship to study at University of Georgia. He actively participated in college football for the Georgia Bulldogs and took on the role of their defensive tackle. Goldberg has been happily married to his wife Wanda Ferraton Goldberg since April 10, 2005. The couple was blessed with their first child, a son, named Gage AJ Goldberg who was born on May 10, 2006 in Bonsall, California. He is 18 years old as of 2024.

Following in his father’s footsteps, Gage Goldberg is also pursuing football. He is currently attending the University of Colorado as a freshman and plays for Colorado Buffaloes. His jersey number is 55. Earlier, when in high school, he played for the team The Champion Chargers. In an Instagram post shared by Gage’s mother earlier this year, Wanda revealed the happy news from her son’s life when The Champion Chargers emerged victorious almost at the same time as Gage graduated from Champion High School in Boerne, Texas, and attended his senior prom.

Gage is currently being trained by coach Deion Sanders, another connection which he shares with his father. Around three decades back, coach Sanders had taken Goldberg senior under his wings when he was a college footballer.
