Mysore to Darbhanga Bhagmati Express on Friday collided with a stationary goods train near Kavaraipettai railway station in Tamil Nadu. Few coaches were derailed, and a fire broke out in coaches of the express train.
Rescue operations by local authorities are currently underway. Further details regarding the extent of the damage and casualties are still awaited.

collision , and four air-conditioned compartments were derailed - Rescue teams and ambulances are en route to the scene
- No casualties have been reported so far
- After passing the Ponneri signal, the train collided with a
goods train - The impact caused a severe jolt, resulting in the derailment
- The train was reportedly traveling at approximately 90 km/h before switching tracks, which may have contributed to the crash
- Train operations in both directions have been halted after the mishap
